Lauren Murray

Clinical Psychologist

Lauren is a clinical psychologist and board-approved supervisor who has completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology and has had further specialised training in trauma informed care and anxiety management. Lauren is an accredited Cool Kids Anxiety management program provider and has worked across a variety of clinical settings, including university clinics, hospital inpatient and outpatient units, and in private practice.

Lauren has experience and training in the psychological assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. She utilises evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and other evidence-based modalities. 

Lauren has extensive experience facilitating the Cool Kids and Chilled Anxiety Management Program, a structured intervention program based on CBT aimed at teaching young people (ages 6 –17) and their carers how to better manage a young person’s anxiety.

Lauren is a compassionate, warm, and empathic clinician who believes in the importance of providing an empowering, safe, and nurturing therapeutic space to support meaningful change. She is dedicated to working collaboratively with others to ensure that treatment is personalised to suit the unique needs and goals for each individual.

Qualifications & Registrations

  • Master of Clinical Psychology degree from Macquarie University

  • Bachelor of Psychology and Honours (1st class) degree from Macquarie University

  • Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with endorsement in clinical psychology

  • Board Approved Supervisor - clinical psychology

  • Registration to provide clinical psychology services with Medicare

  • Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS)
